Thoughtful Care for Real Life
Pain may be the reason you book but it is rarely the only thing affecting how you feel. Sleep, stress, digestion, hormones, work, movement, old injuries, and the amount of rest available to you can all shape the picture.
At Aura Divina, the first step is not rushing the placement of needles. It is understanding what has changed, what has already been evaluated, what makes the concern better or worse, and what you hope to be able to do with more comfort and capacity.

Your First Appointment
We talk
You will have time to explain your health history, current concerns, prior evaluation, medications, goals, and what daily life has been like.
You are welcome to ask questions at any point.
We review
After treatment, we discuss what to notice, how to care for yourself, and when to return.
The plan is reassessed rather than continued automatically.
You Rest
Needles are retained while you rest, often for about 20–30 minutes depending on the visit.
Many people are surprised by how calm or sleepy they feel.
We agree
Before treatment, Sofia explains what she recommends, why, what you may feel, and what areas may be touched or needled.
You can decline or modify any part of the treatment.
We assess
The assessment may include observation, palpation, movement, areas of tenderness, and traditional Chinese medicine findings such as pulse and tongue.
These findings do not replace medical diagnosis or testing.
Does Acupuncture hurt?
Acupuncture needles are extremely thin. You may feel a quick pinch, pressure, heaviness, warmth, or a dull ache, but sharp or intense pain is not the goal. Communication stays open throughout treatment, and needles can be adjusted or removed.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on how long the concern has been present, its severity, your overall health, and how your body responds. A long-standing issue usually requires several visits. We will discuss an initial plan and reassess rather than asking you to commit blindly.
Can I receive acupuncture if I am also seeing a physician?
Yes. Acupuncture is often used alongside conventional care. Please share relevant diagnoses, medications, tests, and recommendations. Aura Divina may refer you back to a physician or specialist when symptoms require medical evaluation.
Do you accept insurance?
Unfortunately, we don't accept insurance. However, we do offer superbills that you can submit for possible reimbursement.
How can I contact you?

We are always happy to answer your questions.
Common Questions
What's the difference between cosmetic acupuncture and microneedling?
Cosmetic acupuncture uses very fine needles on the face and body as part of a whole-person Chinese medicine treatment. Microneedling creates controlled microchannels in the skin to support collagen renewal. They can serve different goals and may be combined in a thoughtful series.
